Hackney Carriage (Taxi) and Private Hire Vehicles
This consultation will close on Friday 27th December 2024.
Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles are a vital form of public transport. They provide an essential service to people living in rural communities where other forms of public transport may be insufficient, to the night-time economy and to disabled passengers. They also have an important role in facilitating social inclusion.
It is important that hackney carriage and private hire vehicles meet regulatory standards and are able to convey passengers safely and comfortably, ensuring that the customer experience is a positive one.
Ceredigion County Council is the Licensing Authority under the Local Government Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1976 (as amended) and the Town and Police Clauses Act 1847.
