Foster with Foster Wales Ceredigion
We are Foster Wales Ceredigion, your local authority fostering service and part of the national Foster Wales network. Together, all 22 Welsh local authority fostering services work to build brighter futures for children and young people across Wales.

As a not-for-profit fostering service, we work in partnership with our foster carers to provide safe, stable and loving homes for local children. Wherever possible, and when it is in their best interests, we help children remain connected to their families, friends, schools and communities in Ceredigion.
Could you become a foster carer?
Foster carers come from all walks of life, bringing a wide range of experiences, skills and qualities. You don't need previous childcare experience to become a foster carer – what matters most is your ability to offer a childcare, understanding, stability and support.
We welcome enquiries from people who are single or in a relationship, whether they are working, self-employed or unemployed. Everyone's circumstances are different, and our team is here to help you explore whether fostering could be right for you.
There are many different types of fostering to suit different circumstances and levels of availability. These range from short-term and long-term fostering to emergency and respite care, including arrangements that may involve caring for a child for just one weekend a month. We support children and young people from birth to 18 years old, as well as young people beyond their 18th birthday as they prepare for independent living.
