Common Allocations Policy

This consultation closed 15 November 2024.

The responses to this consultation are currently being reviewed. Details of the outcome will be published here in due course.

Original Consultation

Ceredigion County Council, in agreement with our partner Registered Social Landlords - Barcud, Caredig and Wales and West Housing, operate a Common Allocations Policy.

This means that applications for all social housing, no matter who the landlord is, are made to the Council through our Ceredigion Housing Options website. All social housing units within Ceredigion are allocated by the landlord of the property in accordance with the Common Allocations Policy.

The Council has worked with our partners to jointly review the Common Allocations Policy.  The growing demand on Social Housing coupled with the desire to maintain and strengthen local communities has led us to conduct a thorough review of the way housing is allocated in the County.  Times have changed and this needs to be reflected in a revised allocations policy.

Please read our draft Common Allocations Policy and give us your feedback by 15 November 2024.
