About the event
Join us at New Quay Community Health, a free community drop-in event bringing together local services, health checks, information and support-all under one roof.
Whether you're looking for health advice, practical support, or simply want to find out what services are available in your local area, everyone is welcome.
There is no need to book. Simply drop in at any time between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Services expected to include
Visitors will be able to access information, advice and support, including:
- Liver health information
- Falls prevention advice
- Blood pressure checks
- Blood glucose tests
- Cholesterol checks
- Citizens Advice Bureau
- Nest Warm Homes Scheme
- Age Friendly Ceredigion
- Cyfle Cymru mentoring
- Mental health support
Additional organisations and services may also be available on the day.

- The venue is accessible to wheelchair users
- Limited parking is available at the venue

The event is being delivered in partnership by Hywel Dda University Health Board, Ceredigion County Council and Cyfle Cymru.
Age Friendly Ceredigion Photography Competition 2026
Theme: Challenging Ageism
Closing date: 03/09/2026
We’re looking for photographs that challenge stereotypes around ageing and show the positive contributions, experiences and diversity of older people in Ceredigion.
Competition guidance:
- Open to people aged 50+ living in Ceredigion
- Maximum of 3 entries per person
- Photographs must not be digitally edited
- Entries must be original photographs taken by the person submitting them
- AI-generated or heavily manipulated images will not be accepted
- Please make sure you have consent from anybody featured in your photographs
- Submitted photographs may be used by Age Friendly Ceredigion in future promotional materials, social media, press releases and displays at community events
- Photographs should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format where possible. Original, high-quality images are preferred

- Name
- Contact details
- Title or short description of the photograph
Prizes
- 1st prize £30 voucher
- 2nd prize £20
- 3rd prize £10 voucher
Entries can be submitted by post to Age Friendly Ceredigion, Ceredigion County Council, Penmorfa, Aberaeron, SA46 0PA or by email to connecting@ceredigion.gov.uk.
