Ceredigion Bilingual Futures Forum
Dyfodol Dwyieithog (A bilingual Future) is a key theme in our Ceredigion Local Well-being Plan and each partner of the Ceredigion Public Services Board is in agreement that we must recognise our duty not only to provide services in both Welsh and English but also to work together harder than ever before to promote and encourage the use of Welsh in every aspect of community and economic activity.
Without a doubt, Ceredigion is one of the most important heartlands of the Welsh language and of bilingual communities. Individuals and organisations from all sectors play a vital role in promoting the status of the Welsh language and in seeking its use in all aspects of life. Under the banner of Dyfodol Dwyieithog / Bilingual Future we will be consulting widely on ideas and activities that will support the good work being done already, together with identifying how to build further on these activities.
A new Welsh language Strategy for Ceredigion has been approved for 2018-2023. Following a public consultation, the Strategy was approved by Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet in a meeting on 25th September 2018. The Strategy updates and develops on its predecessor.
