The purposes for which we use your personal data
We collect and use your personal information so that we can comply with our legal duties in preparing, implementing and monitoring the Local Development Plan, & preparing the Joint Housing Land Availability Study as required by planning legislation.
The processing of your data necessary to perform a task in the public interest and to comply with our legal obligations under the following legislation:
- Town and Country Planning Act 1990
- Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990
- Planning (Wales) Act 2015
What if you do not provide personal data?
If you do not provide the information, you will be unable to participate in the preparation of the Local Development Plan, implementation of its policies & monitoring its implementation & preparation of the Joint Housing Land Availability Study.
What type of information do we use?
We collect the following personal data for administration purposes:
- Name
- Address
- Telephone numbers
- Email address
- Any other contact details
- Above information for any agent/consultant acting on your behalf
Along with the above we collect the following information for administration purposes for implementation of Local Development Plan Policies:
- Your family composition
- Age
- Financial Information (such as salary information, mortgage availability & provider information)
We also collect the following data, which is not personal data, for administration purposes:
- Type of organisation (if applicable)
- Land ownership
- Land and Property values, when we need to assess development viability or eligibility (for affordable housing)
- Financial details relating to the viability of development sites, where they relate to the signing of legal agreements for the payment of financial contributions to the Council
- Any other information that is relevant to a site, such as constraints, access, infrastructure etc.
Who do we collect the information from?
To provide this service, we collect information directly from you but also receive information from the following sources:
- Development Management, Building Control, Council Tax, Electoral Services, Estates
The following types of personal data are obtained:
- Name
- Address
- Any other contact details
We also collect the following from these sources, which is not personal data
- Land and Property values, when we need to assess development viability or eligibility (for affordable housing)
- Financial information relating to the viability of development sites, where they relate to the signing of legal agreements for the payment of financial contributions to the Council
- Any other information that is relevant to a site, such as constraints, access, infrastructure etc.
Transferring your information abroad
Your information will not be transferred outside the United Kingdom.
Who your information may be shared with (internally and externally)
We have a duty to protect the public funds we administer and may use the information provided by you for audit and reporting purposes.
We will make any disclosures required by law and we may also share this information with other bodies responsible for detecting/preventing fraud or crime or auditing/administering public funds to ensure money is targeted and spent in the most appropriate and cost effective way. In order to achieve this, information may be shared with other internal departments within Ceredigion County Council and the Auditor General Wales.
We will not make any disclosures to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data will be secure and confidential at all times and we will only collect the personal information that is required as part of producing the LDP or responding to queries or the implementation of the LDP.
