Parenting and Family Support Team Privacy Notice (incorporating Flying Start)
Ceredigion County Council operates numerous services aimed at providing support to families in the local authority area. To do this, we process personal data as set out in this notice.
The Parenting and Family Support Team for Ceredigion County Council delivers a number of services to help families living in Ceredigion.
The main services we provide are:

Team around the Family (TAF)
Family Support
Support Groups for parents and carers
Provision of family centres- Integrated Children’s Centres
Your information will be used to:
Administer the services we provide to you
Determining the level of service provision you require
Evaluation of service provision both by the Authority and by third party organisations
Evaluation of programmes funded by the Welsh Government via provision of returns to Data Cymru
Research linked to programmes funded by Welsh Government.
Administration of out of court disposals in relation to the abolition of the defence of reasonable punishment legislation

Where special category data is processed, the lawful basis shall be:
Article 9 (2) h) Processing is necessary for the provision of health or social care treatment.
Article 9 (2) g Processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest with a basis in law (legislation as above)
The substantial public interest processing condition shall be:
- Data Protection Act 2018 Schedule 1 Part 2, (6) Statutory or government purposes
- Safeguarding of children and individuals at risk
