Highways Maintenance Privacy Notice

Ceredigion County Council has a statutory obligation to maintain the highway network within the County that is under local authority control. As part of our duties, we respond to reports about the condition of the highway from the public and carry out inspection. investigation, and remedial works where required. In order to fulfil our obligations, we must process personal data, and the ways in which we do this are set out in the notice below.

 

The purposes for which we use your personal data:

 

Your information will be used to:

 

·       Respond to requests for highways services lodged through the Council’s online CLIC referral system.

 

·       Assist the department in its response to concerns about the roads.

 

·       Assess and inform investigations into claims against the Council in respect of adopted highways.

 

·       Respond to queries regarding contractors working for the Council.

 

·       Facilitate licencing and enforcement in accordance with the Highways Act 1980
