Ceredigion County Council, as a public authority, is required to consider how the decisions it makes will impact all groups within the community it serves. In order to do this, the Council has established a People Panel, which processes personal data as set out in this notice.

The People’s Panel enables the Authority to ensure that it is complying with its Public Sector Equality Duty as set out in the Equalities Act 2010. Additional legislation includes the Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act.

By creating a People’s Panel, we are engaging with a group of residents in Ceredigion who are interested in contributing to the democratic process. We have a duty to seek the views of residents when implementing policy changes – this is an expansion of our current work to improve the way we Engage and Consult.
