Long-Term Mooring, Hardstanding or Water Activity Equipment Stand Storage

Those wishing to apply for a long term mooring or storage space for water sports equipment within Aberaeron, Aberystwyth or New Quay Harbours are advised to contact the Harbour Services Team via the Contact Us page to discuss their requirements.

Where there is a suitable vacant mooring or storage space and no applicable waiting list then an application can be made directly for a mooring. However, where there is no suitable vacant mooring or a waiting list is in place then applicants will be invited to join the appropriate waiting list.

Waiting lists are administered in accordance with the Ceredigion Harbours Management Policy and moorings/facilities allocation will be in line with procedure therein (appendix 1). Persons on the waiting list will then be contacted if and when suitable mooring becomes available.

There is a non-refundable waiting list fee to join any of the waiting lists, this fee is detailed in the current Fees and Charges document.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for the Harbour Services Team to provide an estimate in terms of waiting time for a suitable mooring/facility to become available at any of the Harbours where there is currently a waiting list.

Please be advised that no parking rights are afforded to any long-term mooring holders or other harbour users. Harbour users are required to make their own parking arrangements. There are public pay and display car parks in the vicinity of each of the harbours including the following Council managed pay and display car parks:

  • Aberystwyth: New Promenade Car Park
  • Aberaeron: South Beach Car Park
  • New Quay: Rock Street Car Park and Church Road Car Park

For information on parking and Council Pay and Display car parks please visit our Parking & Civil Parking Enforcement page.
