JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion 2026
JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion returns from 4–6 September 2026, bringing three days of world-class motorsport to Ceredigion and Powys as part of the FIA European Rally Championship and the British Rally Championship.
Now firmly established as a highlight of the UK motorsport calendar, the event showcases the region’s landscapes, communities and businesses on an international stage.
What to expect
- Three-day event with an expanded programme across Mid Wales
- Competitive rally stages across Ceredigion and Powys (Friday–Sunday)
- Inclusion in the European Historic Rally Championship, bringing iconic rally cars to the region
Thursday 3 September
The traditional Rali show, autograph session and ceremonial start on Aberystwyth Promenade will take part on Thursday evening.
Friday 4 September
Friday kicks off with two blasts around the exciting Aberystwyth street stage before a pair of stages in the local countryside around Talybont and Pendam.
Saturday 5 September
Saturday features a loop of stages close to Llyn Brianne, the Elan Valley and Devil’s Bridge, which is run in the morning and again in the afternoon. There is a regroup in Rhayader, allowing the public to get up close the cars and drivers at a non-competitive section, with the day’s action closed off with another double run through the Aberystwyth stage.
Sunday 6 September
The final day sees two repeated stages around Lampeter and Aberaeron, with regroups in both towns, before the ceremonial finish back on Aberystwyth Promenade.
The Council works closely with organisers, partners and emergency services to ensure the event is safe, well-managed and beneficial for everyone.

A safety message from Dyfed-Powys Police:
Dyfed-Powys Police supports the national Fatal 5 campaign, which is a focus on the five behaviours that contribute to most deaths or serious injuries on our roads.
They are:
🍺 Driving under the influence of drink/ drugs
❌ Not wearing a seatbelt
🚗 Speeding
📱 Using a mobile phone while driving
⚠️ Careless/ dangerous driving.
Raising awareness of the Fatal 5 with the goal of reducing the number of serious and fatal collisions on our roads is vital work, and our officers will continue to be proactive in addressing these risks and working to make our roads safer for everyone.
Our officers will be present at the Rali Ceredigion event this year, and motorsport fans and visitors at the event are welcome as always to speak with us on the site.
We are incredibly fortunate to have this world class motorsport event in our force area, and we are looking forward to helping with the smooth and safe running of the weekend.
Most importantly we want everyone to enjoy the event, and travel safely to and from Ceredigion.
Please remember to make safe choices behind the wheel. One poor decision can change lives forever, including your own.
For the duration of the rally, road safety messages will be displayed on spectator safety vehicles, and we are extremely grateful to the organisers for helping us spread the message.

Ceredigion is delighted to welcome JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion 2026 back to the county from 4 to 6 September 2026. The event will bring excitement to the area, attract visitors, and create valuable opportunities for local businesses.
To support the event, the Cynnal y Cardi team within the Economy and Regeneration Department at Ceredigion County Council is launching a Shop Window Challenge for businesses in Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and Lampeter.
Businesses are invited to decorate their shop windows with a creative rally or motorsport-inspired theme. Displays should be completed by 1 September 2026 and kept in place throughout the event.
An independent judging panel will visit the towns at the beginning of September, with prizes awarded for the best dressed shop window in Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and Lampeter.
By taking part, your business can:
- be showcased as part of a high-profile international sporting event
- benefit from increased footfall and customer engagement
- help create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere in your town
- support the local economy and community spirit
Hospitality businesses are also encouraged to consider extending opening hours during the event, or creating themed menus and special offers inspired by the rally.
