Ceredigion Youth Service launches new youth-led website
Ceredigion Youth Service has launched a brand-new website designed with and for young people, making it easier than ever to find support, opportunities and information across the county.
The new platform, aimed at young people aged 11–25, has been co-designed through youth club sessions, workshops and discussions with the Ceredigion Youth Council. Young people played a central role in shaping how the site looks, feels and functions.The website includes:
- A “Find Your Youth Club” section with details of local sessions across Ceredigion
- A Meet the Team page to help young people connect with youth workers
- A News & Events hub highlighting opportunities, activities and programmes
- Information on support services, wellbeing, and ways to get involved in youth voice and decision-making
- Easy access to projects, outreach work and digital youth provision
A young person involved in the design said: “I really like the colours and the photos – it feels bright and easy to use. It makes you want to explore what’s there and find out what’s going on.”
Nathan, an Officer from the Youth Service, added: “This website is a big step forward in how we connect with young people across Ceredigion. It’s been shaped by their ideas at every stage, making sure it’s welcoming, relevant and genuinely useful.”
Councillor Alun Williams, Deputy Leader and Ceredigion Cabinet Member for Through Age and Wellbeing, added: “It’s fantastic to see young people at the heart of this project. This new website reflects our commitment to listening to young people and working alongside them to shape services that meet their needs. It will play an important role in helping young people discover opportunities, access support and feel connected within their communities.”
The Youth Service website supports the principles set out in Welsh Government guidance Youth Work in Wales: Delivering for Young People, promoting accessible, inclusive and youth-led services.
This launch is part of a wider programme of work to strengthen digital youth work in Ceredigion, ensuring that every young person can easily access information, support and opportunities wherever they are.
