Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment
This consultation will close on the 31st of July 2026.
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people are part of Wales’s history. They have lived, worked and travelled here for hundreds of years.
Today, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people are recognised as ethnic groups protected by the Equality Act 2010. Some live in housing or permanent sites, while others continue to travel.
The Housing (Wales) Act 2014 says that Councils must understand and plan for the accommodation needs of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people in their area.
If you are a member of the Gypsy, Roma or Traveller community, please fill in our questionnaire.
