Future Uses in Council Offices Engagement

This consultation closed 31/01/2022

Many of Ceredigion County Council's office-based staff are now able to work from home. As such, there are significant opportunities to transform the space formerly occupied by desks and meeting rooms.

We asked for your views and ideas on how best to use the main Council offices/buildings in the future.

In September 2023 the Council’s Development Management Committee approved a planning application to change part of the ground floor and first floor of Canolfan Rheidol, Aberystwyth to a healthcare facility. Ceredigion County Council now occupies the second and third floor of the building and Hywel Dda University Health Board occupies the lower two floors.

Other changes to former office space includes the Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living in Penmorfa, Aberaeron. For more information, visit: Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living - Ceredigion County Council
