Update

Following the Welsh Government announcement regarding a national review of the 20mph speed limit on trunk roads that came into force in September 2023, Ceredigion County Council is undertaking an internal review of 20mph speed limit on county roads.

The response to this consultation was considered by Councillors in the meeting of Cabinet on the 06/06/2023.

Ceredigion County Council (20 mph, 30 mph, 40 mph and 50 mph Speed Limits and Derestricted Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2014 (Various Locations Change to National Speed Limit) (Amendment Order No.23) 2023.

DECISION:

  1. To note officers’ responses to objections received.
  2. To approve the making of the necessary Traffic Regulation Order.
  3. To approve the publication of a subsequent Notice of Making in the local press to this effect and implementation of the new speed limits.
