Young Carer ID Card
The Young Carer ID Card is a photo ID card provided by Ceredigion County Council for young carers aged 18 and under who have registered with the Young Carers Information Service. This card proves that you are a young carer and have caring responsibilities. The card is free and lasts for two years. If you’re 18 or older, you can apply for the adult Carer Card.
How to apply for a Young Carer ID Card
If you’re a young carer, you can apply by filling out the online application form. You’ll need to upload a photo of yourself. If you're under 14, we’ll need to contact your parent or guardian for their permission.
If you're helping a young carer (like a parent or support worker), you can apply on their behalf by using the online form.

Where can I use it?
You can choose a background image for your card from the set options or send your own.
The card will also include your photo.
Make sure to upload a clear photo (head and shoulders) of yourself. You can ask someone to take your picture on a phone or other device. The photo should be recent, in colour, and just of you (no one else or pets). It should show your full face and be against a plain background.
