Ceredigion Carer Cards

The Ceredigion Carer Card is an ID card provided by Ceredigion County Council for unpaid carers aged 18 or older who are registered with the council’s Carers Information Service. For carers under 18, there is a Young Carer ID Card. These cards prove that the person is a carer responsible for looking after someone.

Who are the cards for?

The card is for unpaid carers - people who take care of a friend or family member who cannot manage on their own due to a disability, illness, or substance abuse problems. The carer or the person they care for must live in Ceredigion.

The cards are not for paid care workers.

What is the card for?

The Carer Card helps show that the cardholder has caring responsibilities and gives carers access to some discounts and services in Ceredigion.

How can I get one?

You can apply for a Carer Card by filling out an online form and uploading a photo for the card. If you need help applying, or can’t access the internet, you can call 01545 574200 or email connecting@ceredigion.gov.uk for assistance.

When will I get my card?

Once you apply, you’ll get a confirmation email. Your card should arrive by mail within 21 working days.
