Ceredigion County Council website

Ceredigion County Council is a partner in the Cambrian Railways Partnership, a community rail partnership including representation from Ceredigion, Powys, Gwynedd and Shropshire local authorities, voluntary sector, Network Rail, Avanti West Coast and Transport for Wales.

This Partnership covers the Cambrian Lines: the Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth line and then Machynlleth to Pwllheli line, with three stations located in Ceredigion at Aberystwyth, Borth and Bow Street.

Aberystwyth is also home to the Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge steam railway. Formerly the last steam railway owned by British Rail, it continues to run as a tourist railway. The line runs from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge, a journey lasting approximately one hour in each direction. For further information visit the Vale of Rheidol website.
