This follows the success of the recent Language Charter project by Welsh Government in Ceredigion, where poets and musicians collaborated with pupils from primary schools in Ceredigion to convey their areas in song. Those songs will be available to listen to and download from digital platforms including PYST and Spotify. Why not listen now? Cynefin ar Gân

Anwen Eleri Bowen, Welsh in Schools Promotion Officer on behalf of Ceredigion County Council, said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the pupils, poets and musicians on this exciting project. Today is a matter of pride and joy as through music we are able to share our pupils' love for the area and the language. It's been a great experience for the pupils to be able to say that they've been involved in the creation of the songs, the recording and the release of an EP that is available globally!"

Councillor Wyn Thomas, Ceredigion County Council's Cabinet Member for Schools and Culture, added: "This is an exciting and modern project for our primary pupils. From collaborating with experienced poets and musicians to hearing their finished work in public, it has been an invaluable experience for them, and this project will sustain the poetic tradition in Ceredigion for the future. Thank you to everyone involved in the project, and please listen to Cynefin ar Gân."

As the lyrics of the song 'Teithio'r Teifi' says: “Mae’r tir a’r môr o’n cwmpas / mae’r perci dan ein tra’d; / mae’r iaith, fel afon Teifi, / yn llifo yn ein gwa’d.”

The Language Charter is a national programme by Welsh Government to promote the Welsh Language. The Language Charter is active in all schools in Ceredigion. The programme aims to inspire children and young people to speak Welsh in all aspects of life
