Ceredigion County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board to identify Delivery Partner for Cylch Caron
Ceredigion County Council is pleased to announce that the procurement process to identify a Delivery Partner for the Cylch Caron Scheme is now live and will close on 12 April 2025.
Following Cabinet approval 17 July, 2024 to proceed with an open tender process to identify a new project partner, a tender process ran from 26 July to 20 September 2024. The tender process did not result in the identification of a partner for the project.
However, during that period, two potential partners expressed an interest in delivering the scheme, with some variations to those proposed in the tender. In accordance with Procurement Regulations and to explore those variations fully to successfully deliver the Cylch Caron Scheme, the Council is now running a Competitive Dialogue procurement exercise.
This tender process will provide an opportunity to develop a scheme that meets the health, social care and housing needs of the area.
The process is being managed through the eTenderWales tendering platform. In the process that follows, the qualifying organisations will assist the Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board to develop the Cylch Caron Scheme ready to progress the project delivery.
Councillor Alun Williams, Deputy Leader of Ceredigion County Council and Cabinet Member with responsibility for Through Age Wellbeing said: “Ceredigion County Council is fully committed to seeing this innovative social care, health and housing project succeed. We believe that local organisations working together to provide services and facilities like this is the way forward. Everyone has been working very hard behind the scenes on the re-tendering process and I’m delighted that we’ve now reached this important milestone.”
Peter Skitt, Clinical Care Group Service Director for Community and Integrated Medicine at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “This is a partnership project between Ceredigion County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board, along with Welsh Government. It will consist of a GP surgery, community pharmacy, outpatient clinics and community nursing services."
Upon completion of the competitive dialogue the results will be submitted to Cabinet for tender acceptance.
