Applying for Permission to Erect a Memorial
From January 2006 only lawn memorials are allowed in Council owned cemeteries.
Memorials require permission to be erected. This is normally done by a stonemason by completing a "Memorial Plan Application".
Once permission has been granted then the stonemason can erect the chosen memorial.
Memorial Types
Lawn memorials - The only type of memorial we allow in our cemeteries from 2006. It provides for easy maintenance and is safe when installed by a BRAMM registered mason.
