Ceredigion Carer Card

The Carer Card is a photo ID card issued by Ceredigion County Council to Carers age 18 and over who have registered with Ceredigion County Council's Carers Information Service and who request to have a Carer card.

A Young Carer ID card will be issued to carers under the age of 18 who request a carer card.

The Carer Card verifies that person shown on the card is a Carer with caring responsibilities.

The Carer Card has been launched in response to requests from Carers during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the early months of the pandemic, many Carers contacted Ceredigion County Council to ask for something they could use to prove that they are caring for someone.

The Carer Card shows that the cardholder is a Carer. You can use the card to show that you have caring responsibilities.
